Last evening right before dark, our resident cottontail rabbit, stopped in for a visit in the yard. Much to my surprise, it turns out it's a female. Just a few hops away from her, came 2 little ones about the size of an apple. They came up to mom, and she nursed them, I grabbed my camera, and did get some of it recorded. I have been in the outdoors all my life, and it occurred to me, I had never seen a rabbit nurse her babies before, so I called Patti over for her to watch it too. I'll see if I can get it to post, although I have had trouble with video posting in the past.
