This is 'my' canyon, a great place to sit with a beer, read a book, and piddle. I'm a master piddler by the way.
You must always have enough firepower to start a small war with you, this canyon is one that drug smugglers use to bring their loads into Hiway 90, ( although I have never seen them there ), however I know it's a fact by talking to law enforcement.
If you can get in the shade before it hit's 90 or so, it's not bad at all, and a great place to watch wildlife trying to make a living.
Take care.

No wonder you are always packing...I would too if there was even the slightest remote chance I had to face drug smugglers. :-(
