Sorry for the sporadic posting, it's been a tough haul of late.
Before Christmas, I had a health problem develop, that just got straightened out, finally, so now I'm sort of back in the saddle, almost as good once as I ever was as the song goes.
Christmas, death in the family, daughter's house fire, son's house fire, yes, they both had a house fire within 3 days of each other, son sustained some injuries, but not serious getting the kids out, my problem, Pinkie,Patti's dog turned diabetic on us, almost lost her..good grief, what a list.
I hope and pray it's all behind us now, I'm ready for a breather!
Got a new Colt 1911 Gov't model .38 Super, for Patti, but have been unable to find any ammo yet, although we are both anxious to shoot it. Ammo is pretty much non existent of late, and probably will be for a while. I hope she can handle it, and move away from her 9mm, if not, I guess I'll have another new pistol!
I will give you a report when we get to shoot it.
After 5 months of pestering the city about paying us for the damage we sustained when the sewer air locked, they have finally succumbed and agreed to pay 33% of the claim, which is more than I thought we would ever see.
Will try to touch base in a more timley fashion, thanks for stopping in.

ReplyDeleteThanks B, there is nothing like a good friend.
DeleteMy goodness you have really been through the wringer. Glad things are looking up and that the city decided to chip in 33% which in itself is a victory or sorts.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Thanks MsB, I'm ready for good times to return, and hope the future is bright for all of us. Yes I was surprised the city finally gave in, flabbergasted is a good word for it.
DeleteMeant to say "victory of sorts"
