Blogger is not cooperating, so no photo with this post.
I just had to tell you, I'm in a hotel in downtown San Antonio ( see title for location), and I went out on the 3rd floor pool area, setting there with a couple of friends having a beer, and then we all heard it, and looked at each other in utter disbelief. IT WAS A WHIPPOORWILL calling in the midst of all the traffic and tall buildings in a very congested area of town.
Now that just blew my mind, and it's still hard for me to believe it, but it really happened.

I believe it's the Riverwalk and its trees that make it possible for a whipoorwill to hang out in downtown S.A.
ReplyDeleteProbably right, but what a place for a bird like that?
