Received a new ammo shipment, and a shipment of electronic ear muffs, we'll see how good they work, and I'll let you know.
I was out of rat shot for snakes, so I bought some .22 and .45 just to have it on hand, you never know when you"ll need it. Also, got some .357, .44, .45 ammo.
Took the day off, working on cleaning up my counter, and replacing glass and mantels in a bunch of lanterns for next trip to Sanderson.
Thanks to all for checking in.

Info about the big bend lion of february 2012.
ReplyDeleteApril 16, 2012
Fort Davis, TX - In February, a 6 year-old boy was attacked by a mountain lion at The Chisos Mountain Lodge.
The boy did not suffer life threatening injuries but did have severe scratches to his face and required stitches.
Since the attack, Park Rangers have been searching for the cat. Although they do believe to have found the mountain lion involved in the incident, spokesperson David Elkowitz says there is not enough DNA evidence to prove it.
Because of the cat's poor condition, he was put down by the veterinarian at the end of February. There has not been another attack since then.

ReplyDeleteThe mountain lion dragged Rivers from his mother's hand into a bush next to the walkway. The lion was standing over the young boy and had its powerful jaws locked onto Rivers' face. Hobbs reached for his hunting knife he had carried on his belt when they went hiking earlier in the day, but that was left in the room when they went to dinner. Hobbs then pulled his Spyderco Caly 3.5 folding knife from his pocket, opened the blade with one hand and stabbed the lion. The lion immediately released Rivers and ran off.
Rivers needed 17 stitches to close the wounds on his face. The Park Service eventually located what they believed to be the rogue lion and it was killed.
